Cruise Control

Hey Guys
I have a 91 olds 88 royale, and the cruise control works intermittently. I seem to have no vacuum leaks anywhere that I can find on any of the hoses. A local mechanic had shown me how to test for vacuum.
Anyway, the problem I am having is that the cruise sometimes will work (more so in wet cooler weather if that makes sense) and sometimes it will work for a while and slowly start to lose speed, although it doesnt totally kick out. if you press the accelerator to get it back up to speed it will start to work again without pressing resume. if you press the brake and press resume it starts to work again as well.
Anyone else have this problem? I havent tried anything as of yet. Thot Id wait for someones opinion first.
