today is not a good day. here is the problems i had today.

1st, i go into town, pull my seatbelt out, and it doesnt retract back in. ok i am somewhat angry but think, its alright ill fix it when i get a chance, no biggy.

2nd my spedo comes unhooked again, after i just reconnected it about 2 months ago. this pissed me off as it is not fun to fix. but i can live with this one.

3rd, more serious, i drive away from the easter supper at my grandparents, get to the video store to rent a movie, turn car off, key wont turn all the way back, it turns far enough that the accesorys dont come on, but it wont go far enough for me to pull out of hte ignition. i am pissed right about now.

All this after i had a coolant leak, and replaced a couple hoses a few days ago no huge thing, was free.

and after i noticed a small oil leak. wich more than pissed me off. i have yet to find out where its coming from, but it seems to be from a spot almost behind the front tires, and a little on the passenger side.

Frustrated to say the least. any solutions to these problems i am glad to hear, i havent had time to look into any really yet. so the more knoledge i have going in, the easier it should be

Well, thought I would reply to the most seious problem.
By the way "keep the faith" ...my baby tests mine all the time !

...Ok back to your problem, assuming (auto trany) that you had the car completely in "park" ...sounds silly, but sometimes you just need to shift through the gears and be certain it is a solid shift into park before you can put the iginition in the "off" position allowing you to remove the key.
...if you have done this and the problem persisits, I hate to tell you that you will most likey need to replace the "ignition lock". Probably worn tumbelers inside. Usualy a badly worn ignitin key is an idicator of worn tumbelers inside the lock. You may want to have a locksmith do this, as a special funky tool is needed to properly remove the lock. Good Luck.
