some of you might remember me aquiring a 90 Civic Si for $300 in november last year. well after a winter on my lawn, the snow being melted and warm weather sorta uppon us I desided to jump elbow deep in the project.

now to recap, I bought this car from a friend that mannaged to break a rod and puncture the oil pan.

so first thing I wanted to do was assess the damage and see if it was repairable.

so after pulling the car off my lawn (with the crx :icon16: ) I jacked up the civic and took a gander under the car... oil pan punctured... peice of rod still in oil pan... not good.

I start removing the exaust manifold to get to the oil pan to get a closer look.

well after an hour or so I get the back heat sheild off the manifold to expose a 2"x.75" hole in the block... well guess i'm gonna replace this motor...

not sure what i'm dropin in yet...

90-93 LS maybe...

Yeah that would be interesting to see, post some pics about that. What are they plans for this car, race, looks nice...what? I mean just another daily driver that looks good, or a full race car?

you bought that car for $300? Good deal (even though the motor is shit) Man, i need to find a nice shell for myself. Every hatch i buy is more expensive than that and has a lot of rust. I need to get my ass down south

canada... just above Maine.
:lol2:LOL - when I first read this I was kinda like "oh yeah...Canada...that big ass country north of us." - but now i realize that by explaining north of Maine you were giving us a pretty close approximation of your location. :lol2:

sastanley <--- :loser:

Nice projecet dude! That Si looks to be in great shape for being so far up north...no rust or anything!

no rust... this thing has quite a bit in the quarters and the hatch... but it's pretty solid.

but it's a beater.

So far motors i might drop in are

d16Z6 with 200 000km
Rebuilt D16A6 with 20 000KM
or D16a6 with 200 000km
