i know ya'll have prolly heard this question over and over again. see here's the deal.. i got an '02 mustang. It's automatic :banghead: and its the V6 not the V8 . My dad cosigned for the car for me.. so.. he kinda had a little bit of a say on whether or not I get it.

Anyways.. here's the deal. I want to swap it to a manual. anyone done that? Or know any sites online where i can get the kit to do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated :lol2:.

You can hit me up on aim.. I'm always online, allthough i may be afk. (partingfirefly)

Thanks a lot :iceslolan

gotta find out the flexplate's balance (28 oz. imbalance usually) and get a flywheel that matches. need a clutch with the appropriate spline hub. need a trans. need a clutch/brake pedal assembly out of a stick, or make a bracket for a clutch pedal. get a clutch cable +quadrant (aftermarket adjustable). might need a different spline and/or length driveshaft. shifter, boot, and bezel. might have to change the engine computer. might have to change the tranny mount/crossmember.

all this will probably cost you about 3 grand to do it right and well. might get it down to half that if you go with all used parts and do all the work yourself.

if you wanted a stick, shoulda bought one in the first place =P. when i shopped for my stang, i didn't even read the ads for autos.

Truth is you might as well just trade/sell or whatever you can do with your car for one with a stick. Just easier and in the end cheaper 90% of the time.
