Hey everyone I have a 96 GSX with a 16G turbo and I am about to purchase a couple more parts to make this baby move. I was going to get a FMIC but Im not sure what kind I would like a little help in that department. A Walboro 190 fuel pump, 550 fuel injectors, buscher racing downpipe and a hallman manual boost controller. What do you guys think about that? I thought that would give me the most bang for my buck because i dont have a huge bankroll. I would appreciate all suggestions on different brand names or on any parts. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like a plan, but you will need something to control the added fuel.

you might wanna get larger injectors than the 550's. thats just what was suggested to me with my evo 16. like lando said you'll need an s-afc to control the new injectors and pump. as far as the boost controller goes.. do you not have one? and what for guages are you running? the Joe P MBC is nice. other than that it sounds like you've got a good setup. hope it all works out for you.

do you have a boost gauge? and i think a better Q would be how much are you willing to spend? you have a good listgoing there. i don't think you need a FMIC as of yet, but a more complete mod list of what you have now will help too. like do you have UICP or an upgraded BOV?

Yea guys i have the autometer boost gauge with air/fuel as well. I had the apexi acv-r boost controller but i had to take it out due to the shady wiring job and that I needed money so I sold it. I have a greddy type s BOV as well as upper IC piping. Thanks for all the help guys.

ok cool, what kind of exhaust do you have? do you need an upgraded DP at all [if you don't already have one]? also you shold seriously consider an upgraded fuel pump to the 190, and for sure the boost controler. i have a GReddy type-24 FMIC and i like it, although the Spearco is a better option.

i also have an ACT 2600 clutch with resurfaced flywheel, hi-flow cat with a HKS muffler and 3' piping, NGK spark plug wires. Front strut bar, H&R Race Springs which lowered it about 1.7' .Thats about it. I was looking to spend about $2000 hopefully but i was willing to go a little over if neccesary. Thanks again

check out this site for a great DP that is highly recomended on this site: http://www.roadraceengineering.com/eclexhaust.htm
you will want a boost controller and a bigger fuel pump as well. also look into FMIC's as well. you should be able to fit all of that into $2000 for now. next you will want to look into some bigger injectors and something to control them like an SAFC.

I used to have APC and the NGK are better and more durable than the APC. I cant say im a fan of APC so that might sway my opinion as well.

the best plugs for the 4g63 are the stock ones or the NKG's [but i'm not sure about which ones or whatever cuz i don't know about NKG's].

Thank you boosted! If i was to get all of that work done i was thinking setting the controller at 17psi. What do you think of that if i was to do the DP FMIC fuel pump and the manual boost controller?

i'm not familiar with the correct 16g psi settings, so i can't really comment on that. but with all the other stuff mentioned above, you will be able to run it far more safely and right.
