Are you asking about the 14b or the 13g, there is no 14g. ;) 13g came in 1g Autos, and 14b came in 1g manuals. The 14b has a 9 psi actuator, and stock boost on the 1g is 11 psi.

wops, 14b it is.. :)
.. so its 9psi? is there any way to bring that down to 6-7psi? im considering using the turbo for a custom project.

thanks.

*shakes head* what kind of car are you using it on? 6-7 psi is a joke. if you're going to run that low you might as well get a super charger or just not get a turbo. this is of course my opinion... so you don't have to listen to it. the 14b isn't that big of a turbo and I doubt that whatever you're running it on will have trouble taking 9 psi... unless you're turboing a moped

If you want a little less than a stock 14b, use a T25 or 13g. I don't know how you would change the actuator without replacing it. No DSM company would bother making one, so it would be custom is my guess.

I believe the t25 has a 6-7 psi actuator. With some creative bracketry it may fit on a 14b, who knows. Or you could just use the t25. If this is for a 2 liter or smaller the t25 will be very efficient at 6-7 psi (its good to 15 or so on that displacement) and will spool very fast. The 14b would spool well to, but then youre using a 25 psi turbo in a 6 psi application.... BOth turbos use the same manifold and O2 housing/down pipe. But the compressor outlet is very different (and oil feed lines). Odds are the t25 will be easier to work with in that repsect.

Turbo a go-cart! :D

the plan is to put it on a ka24e nissan motor. obviously 2.4 litter. i was thinking that the compromise between larger displacement and lower boost might work. im noot looking for high power numbers, just a little more. if i run it at stock boost on stock parts, things will blow... i know it for a fact.

and opinions are welcome, as long as they have reasoning behind them :)

thanks guys.

fuckin A that thing is SIIIIC!!!! intercooler and everything. i wonder if it has wheelie bars, and a parachute!!! LOLOL

back on topic, i think you are going to either blow your engine up because a lack of the will to do it right and strengthen everything internaly. exhaust all other options of upgrades and then boost that shit. :)
