Bad turn signals on 95 SLE Jimmy...

My turn signals stopped working & I cannot find anything wrong with them. I have checked all of the fuses (in the fuse panel & under the center of the dash), pulled my headlights & taillights and checked the bulbs & wiring. When I flip the turn signal on, nothing happens- no sound & no indicator above the gauges. Although my hazards work just fine. Right before this happened, my headlight switch on my dash went bad (my headlights turned on & off by themselves). I replaced that and they are working just fine now. I doubt that switch would have any effect on my turn signals though. Could this be a computer problem? This is driving me nuts! :banghead: Can ANYBODY help me? PLEASE!!!
Thanks so much!

P.S. My turn signals did work for a few days before & after & Christmas day. I referred to it as "The Christmas Miracle" LOL Is my truck possessed?!? LOL :evillol:

hey Red dog:
I had the same problem with my 96 jimmy this winter. Your problem is in either the wiring or in the steering column. Mine was the wiring and cost me about 40 bucks to fix. Take it to a local garage to fix it. Dealers will charge around $125 to fix. At the same time my rear gate would not open and my drivers side door lock would not work. Talk about things going wrong at once.........Good luck Red dog
