Hi,

I'm looking for a Bongo and have found an N-reg SGL5 with 100,000 KM (62,500 miles) on the meter. Is that a rather high mileage or is it reasonably safe to buy?

What sort of price shoud I pay for that? Is £6000 too much?

Regards,

PG

Hi,
It sounds a lot, but the car is probably 9years old, so 62k doesn't sound excessive. Personally I reckon it's down to bodywork condition, rust, etc - if it's clean then the mileage wouldn't worry me too much.
When we were looking I saw a couple of '95s with around that mileage, 50-60k and one of them was at £8995. Good condition though, and a reputable local dealer, with warranty. I'd have thought £6k private was high, unless it's the elevating roof with camper conversion. Then I've seen 'em at over £12k

Brian
