I am going to be replacing the factory radio on my 99 Malibu and I want to know how to take the black/gray trim piece off. Where are all the screws located? Is this going to be a hard process because I don’t want to pay the $75 Car toys wants? Thanks in advance

No screws until you get to the radio itself

Remove the ignition key trim cover. Pry off with a flat bladed tool.
Gently pull the plate (1) rearward in order to disengage the retainers from the instrument panel (3).
Disconnect the cigarette lighter (2) connector.
Disconnect the cigarette lighter (2) electrical connector.
Remove the trim plate (1).
