Think My Turbo Is Gone

well isnt this wounderful, i went get my A/C recharged by one of my friends thats a Big rig mechanic and knows alot about cars. When i was in the drivway i was taching about 1.5 to 2k for a few mins to charge the system and diffrent shit like that. Well when we got finished i walked to the back of my car and notice oil splatters on the ground behind the exhaust. He said on turbos on big rigs thats not good, it means either a gasket or o-ring or something is gausing a leak inside the turbo and making it shot out my exhaust. Thats where the white smoke is coming from. Do they have a rebuild kit for the stock turbo or did anyone have this problem. I may just go ahead and get a 1g M/T turbo, the 14b, This may be a sign from The Car Gods Above.

do the upgrade! you can probably get a 14b for just as much as it would cost you to rebuild yours! good luck

hell ya go 14b!!! i'm probably going to do that just to do something new to my car, i haven't been able to do anything recently because of prior bills and everything i now want is tons of cash... lol ... and i'm itching :naughty:

whatever you do dont drive the car!!! Mine blew about 1 week ago and it did the exact same thing, and when i swapped it for the 16g i had to take off my lower intercooler pipe and about 2 quarts of oil came out of it because the turbo blew a seal. Bee vary carfull of oil levels.

yea thats what happened to my stock turbo. my mechanic took everything apart to get it ready for the evo 16 and about a quart of oil made it's way onto the floor. he just grinned and said "nice" haha.
