Maxima vs. IS300

Well I was on the way to drop off two of my buddies (they are brothers) at their house when this pewter gray IS300 goes flying by me. I think nothing of it until we come to a stop sign and it's obvious he is waiting for me. I pull next to him and we take off. I have about 1/2 a car on him but I have to slam on the brakes because there is a slow moving truck in my lane, he goes flying by and I pull around the truck and try to catch up. As luck would have it, there is a red light up ahead and we are the first two cars there, so I know it's on. The light turns green and we are off to the races......by about 60 mph I have 3/4 of a car on him......we get up to about 100-105 and I have about a car and a half on him. I knew the guy from when I used to go to high school and so did my buddies, so we all waved out the window. He flicks on his hi beams (asshole) and turns off. But yeah, I won. :smokin:

Yep, it always feels good to beat cars with twice the blue book value in a relatively similar market segment. :D

damn dude this is the second thread about street racing you've posted this week already...... you must live in an area with a lot of young drivers who love to street race, either that or....... well lets not go there for now :p anyway congrats on the win, as i said before, maximas are one of the best 6's on the market, but many people take em lightly not knowing their real potential and power. Bet that IS300 driver got a shock too :iceslolan

I'm not sure, maybe it's just dumb luck.....because before this week, I hadn't had an impromptu street race in about a year....guess it was just my time, lol.

i get in a street race about everyother day! i just don't post them cause most of them are just ricers i put in there place and civics and what not, only time i post is when its a car worth racing, or should i say a car in my league, cause i don't want to seem like i'm putting anyone's cars down. yeah up here its street race city.

it's good to see. maybe these cars'll finally get the recognition they deserve.

Hopefully.....no one ever seems to take a maxima seriously.....like when I beat people, they are all surprised, lol.
