Hey guys ive got a 96 integra and i want new springs to lower my ride. what do you guys think about the H&R Sport Springs but if i kept stock shocks how long would they last? any other good ideas for suspension, i want to lower my car 1.5 to 2 inches. any other things i would need to do if i lowered my car.
Coilovers what all do i need if i decide to go with that set up. and good brands?

H&R makes very nice springs. Your stock struts could last 10,000miles or 3yrs, but during that time they wont be performing correctly. I recommend no more than 2" drop for street use, 1.5" prefer. Why? The lower the spring, the higher the spring rate. Stiff springs aren't fun for every day driving. You will need an alignment & possibly camber kits depending how low you go. It's also a good time to replace upper strut mounts & dust boots if needed.
True coilovers come with both springs & struts, so you don't have to worry about that. Just camber kits, alignment, & corner weighting. I honestly think coilovers are over kill for the street. Most people just adjust all 4 corners thinking their cars is great, until they take it for a corner weighting they'll find out that car is all jacked. EVERY time you adjust ride height plan on alignment & cornerweighting. Your better off spending more money for lowering springs & struts if the car is for street use. If you race a lot & know how to set-up a suspension then go for the coilovers.
H&R also make great coilovers

H&R springs are good. since it will lower your ride 1.75 front and 1.5 rear it's best to add aftermarket shocks, but if you don't have the money just wait until the stock shocks wear out.

I think I would would have gotten Comptech or Neuspeed springs if I Didn't get H&R because they specialize in Acura/Honda only.
But, I'm Happy with My H&R
