Bosch Platinum plugs and Bosch wires, new cap and rotor, new fuel filter and a new PCV valve. Should I expect a noticeable increase in gas mileage? Sure would be nice....

cheers

Bosch spark plugs??? I personally ONLY use NGK's.
I leave bosch to the German cars; AC Delco, Champion, Autolite to the American cars; and NGK's, Denso, etc to the imports. BUT, that's just me.
As for wires, I don't know if there is a difference. Does it matter or make a difference, rather???

Hey, I may be kinda dumb or something, but whats the big deal with NGK's? Are they much better quality? Better or more powerful spark or something? Sorry, I'm not tryin to steal the thread, this info might prove useful for some...

they are what recommended by honda, not that they are more powerful or anything, but i have hear dof people having probs with bosches and others and then they tried some ngks and they worked fine.

Interesting comments, guys. I didn't really think twice about the plug brands, I've always used Bosch plugs, but most of my cars have been Volkswagens. I bought just the regular platinum plugs, not the split or +4 ones. They just seem too gimmicky to me.

So, any thoughts re: mileage? I'm hoping to see at least some increase in mileage. I used to get 30MPG or better, but in the 2.5 years I've owned this Civic, it's slowly gotten worse, now about 24-25MPG.

cheers

Dont drive your car so hard and keep it low in the rpm's and drive normal and you'll get better gas mileage.

But in all seriousness after I got my new dizzy I put on some MSD plug wires and Bosch plugs and its ran great.
