AC problem

I am working on a 98 Chevy s10. the problem is with the ac. it has a good charge. when I first start the truck and turn on the ac it works great. the problem is when I give it the gas it blows the 10amp fuse under the hood. I replace the fuse and start the truck agine and the ac compressor stays on for as long as you want as long as you do not hit the gas. any subjections????????
