I have a 95 civic dx sedan. is it worth getting a swap or is it too heavy. i think a sedan would be cool, kind of a sleeper. just wondering what everyone thought.

I have a sedan albeit a 91 but I had a zc and I am now putting a b16 in it. I would go for it and swap it.:)

whats Up?
I have a 92 Civic sedan Lx with the D15B7(1.5 ltr automatic)and I am planning on doing a engine swap in a few months ,I have pretty much decided on the B20Z engine from the Honda CRV.I am not going with the CRVtec just the B20Z possibly adding a turbo setup in the future.I have heard of a couple of people on "other" boards doing this swap into their 92-95 sedans and they were all happy with the results.
What engine were you going to swap into you Civic? If you are undecided you should look into doing the B20B swap, due to its availability and cost,I have seen B20B's go for any where from $800.00 to $1000 depending on mileage and where the engine is purchased from.
the specs on the B20B are;126 hp&133 trq (1997-98 CRV)
B20Z are;146hp&133 trq (1999-2000CRV)
Also if a turbo is in the plans the B20Z is the better choice of the two due to the compression ratio and the flatter pistons.
I do have a complete parts list if you need it or more info on this swap,PM me on here and I'll get back to you.I hope Ive helped you,
Later.

i wasnt really thinking of the b20z, but i will think about it. i was thinking more of the b18c1 or b16a for my car. BOth of these are easy swaps and i was not thinking of turboing in the near future. thanks for the help though
DOes anyone have a parts list of what i would need if i did the b18c1 or b16a? i was just reading a website that said they replaced the master brake cylinder. thats optional right?

Go for it....My boy has gone through 2 GSR engines in his and now has a JDM B16 in his 95 Sedan....It moves out and suprises people for a sedan...He also is running a little NOS w/ it as well and internals have been built in it as wel..

Hope this helps you in the decision to getting the swap...:frog:
