What should I do first?

I have a 2001 LS1 T/A with an automatic trans., I'm thinking of going to a 3.73 gear, superchip programmer and a cat-back exhaust! This is an everyday car with a lot of High-Way driving. I'm new to all this and need some input If I'm doing the right mods and what else I can do w/o going to extreme?

Question is what do you want to do with your car. Are you a guy who drives it on the highway a lot but likes to drag race/autox/mix? Also, what transmission do you have.
