i get what ur saying
b18 about 6800 rpm
d16z 7200 rpm
so close it doesn't make a real difference.
the thing is that i can get the turbo kit for relatively cheap plus i can get a vafc II for about $250. i'm trying to stay legal and a turbo on the b18 is pretty much out of the question.

my mistake on the cams :smokin:
if it doesnt have a carb eo number then it isnt legal in cali. a turbo kit can pass the sniffer but if it doesnt have a number it wont pass the visual.
there is a search on the carb web site that tells you what parts have eo numbers or allows you to check the eo number.
ex:
EO: D-397-7
EO Date: 2/8/2001
Manufacturer Name: Greddy Performance Products, Inc.
Device: Turbocharger Kit
Device Type: Turbocharger System/ Turbocharger Modification
Part_Number: Model_Specification: Modification_Allowed: Remarks:
1993-2000 Acura Integra GSR
1990-2000 Acura Integra GS, LS
1990-1997 Acura Integra RS
1997-2000 Acura Integra Type R
1999-2000 Honda Civic Si Coupe
1998-2000 Honda CRV
1996-2000 Honda Civic EX/Si
all cali legal.
does n e 1 know how much modification it will take to get the turbo kit to fit or if there are major issues.

i hate the cali law as well but it is becoming increasingly hard to pass smog illegally. every connection that i had got there shops closed down or stop doing illegal smogs because they fear getting busted. i know one guy but he wants about $300 to do a smog. :22yikes:
and besides alot of people ask how fast you can go legally in cali and i want to find out.
