Whats the deal Nissan?

I'm talking about some serious design problems of the 240sx! I looked for 35 minutes in my car and failed to find a cup holder! I've come to the conclusion that there is actualy not a cup holder, unless there is one some where in the hatch but really that won't do me any good.

Come on now nissan! even my friend's 91' Ford taurus has a cup holder! A really nice one two with dual 115mm cup support rings, stainless steel hinges with spring loaded retractable arms that open the device in only 0.4 seconds!

In the mean time I'm making due with jamming drinks into the drivers side door holder thing. Any one know of some Cup holder kits, and possibly turbo kits for the cup holder? I have a dire need to stay on top of the said grandma-mobile in every possible way. k thx

you must be joking right....it is a sports car not a luxury car. Comparing it to a taurus is pointless cause a taurus was meant for family/luxury the 240sx was meant for performance and ride factor. if it is a big deal just make a cup holder in your center console lid or something, just cut two holds over the lid. There's the kit....

nissan was focusing on a fun driving car that's lightweight, has great handling, and has perfect weight balance. Not a cup holder. Inconvienent yes but an easy solution, go to pep boys and buy one and you can install it in your car

Hold a drink bewtween your legs while driving your manual. That's true skill, son. Cup holders are for wusses.

I tried that once... my crotch was wet with sprite for an hour! Being sticky down there isn't fun!

Oh-yeah, KenOhki2112, you dweeb! SPORTS-CARS don't have cup-holders! Stick to your friend's grocery getting Taurus! He just may wanna trade you!

go to kmart and get one of those cup holders that you stick in your window. easiest solution out there, and its only like, $1.50

guys, you really don't need to rip him apart because of the fact that he didn't notice that his car didn't have a cupholder. it's an honest mistake, and i for one can understand why he wants one, even though i most likely won't be eating or drinking in my car once it's on the road.

if you go on Japanese Yahoo, you'll see that nearly every S13 has one of those cupholders that clips onto the AC/heat vents in your dashboard. i plan on getting one, and my friend has one in his 240SX.

another option is one of the ones that looks like a cup, and has an adhesive bit on the bottom. you could stick one of those to the top of your console lid. i have one, but won't use it in my car cause those adhesive strips usually leave residue when you take it off, and i don't want to wreck my console lid.

Haha you guys all totaly fail at sarcasm.

Besides! None of these cup holders are TURBO CHARGED cup holders. Though that ebay one looks pretty cool, maybe they make a mini SR to power it and make it slide in and out, "SR0.02DET" =D

EDIT: And I've had my 240 for over 2 years, so it's not a new discovery =P

thats almost what i say when someone asks me if i'm gonna put subs, amp, TVs, etc. in my car..."its a car, not a home theater system."

Too bad that cup holder there isn't a pop out one.. I'm not sure what exactly my mini SR is powering =\

ok seriously, why'd it take you 35 min. to figure out there was no cup holder? and why would there be on in the hatch?

that mini sr is not only your nos button, but it also runs your amp and tv and ps2 and xbox on mini sr horsepower instead of using up your battery, oh and it is a built in jump start incase you leave your lights on... oh and runs your air ride also... can't forget the neons either!

now if you want to have a cup holder go in and out you'll have to bore out the mini sr to 0.05 at the least... I haven't found a shop anywhere near here that does that so good luck :)

hey.. that cup holder only really works on an AT, with an MT your elbow will be knocking the cup over onto you're mini SR. You wouldn't need to bore it out either, that engine puts out just over 2 horse power. Just upgrade the exaust, every one knows that should raise it by 10-15 horse power.

i never eat in my car (i don't eat as often and when i do i want to injoy it sitting on a table!) but once i had to hold a small cup in my car and i squizzed it at the ash tray ... works... (not for big cups dough!)

its sad that the person is selling that on ebay...and sad that someone is buying it. you can just get the dimensions of the holder, get a piece of wood, cut it, then cut a hole in the middle and voila, instant cup holder for way the hell cheaper.
