Central Lock doesen't Work- Electric problem ?

Hello, I have a problem with my electrical system on my door lock.
The central lock system doesn’t work on any door, if I use the key in the driver side.
But it woks fine if I use the key in passenger side.
If I want to lock all doors from the driver side, I only can do it from the inside of the car, with the button on door handle, and only with power on the engine.
Can any one help me please?

Thanks in advance!!!
Michael

There's a round electrical door lock switch mounted on the inside of the door lock which is wired to all four door locks. When the key is turned, the switch is also engaged and depending on the direction, sends the appropriate signal to engage\disengage the door locks.

Either the switch is disconnected, faulty or you have faulty wiring leading to the switch. Remove the inner door panel and visually inspect the switch connector and wiring.

My driver side door would not lock using the key, the electric switch, or manually pushing the lock slide. I pulled the whole latch system out of the door to find that the electrical switch mentioned in the post above was seized and would not turn. I disconnected it from the rest of the locking mechanisms, and I was able to lock the door with a key or manually. I have to find a new latch unit to get the door back to 100% lockable, but at least I can lock it. I haven't had any luck finding one at a salvage yard or even on the web. I don't know if your problem is related, but pull the door panel off and see what's holding you up in there.
