in the how to make a bodykit thread when it says use a plastic card/ Styrene to make the shape you want what does this mean? to make a front bumper do you just apply some putty to the original front bumper on the car and just shape it with your hands? i dont see how u can shape much with a straight piece of plastic. i dont understand how you guys get such perfect looking body kits. :banghead:

There're many useful ways of using a plastic sheet, and this is only one of them.

Look at a particular shape, and slice it up in your mind. You'll be able to divide a certain shape in sections, and that section view can be made with a piece of plastic. It works as a template for putty work, allowing you to achieve a completely symmetric shape for right and left side. You can have as many section cuts as you like.

You shape it with sandpaper and blades. Not easy, but easier if you just used your hands.
