Sorry i had to delete my first thread b/c the host i used for the majority of the pics went down and has been for over 2 weeks. there were too many pics to fix so i just deleted wasted space.
Here is the stage I'm at now. I've painted, polished, and waxed the body. IMO it turned out ok, first attempt at micromesh cloths. I was nervous about cutting through the clear so there is still minor orange peel and some black paint from the awful job on the trim i did (I hate the f#$%in trim)
here you go.

I think i'm gonna go with these wheels, the only other ones i like on this car are the stock. their just sitting under the body so it will look diffrent when finished. i've also included some outside shots.

I know I have no chance in hell of winning, there are too many bad ass models you guys are doing. But the way i look at it, if it helps me get it done then why not. Plus i would feel like a punk if I dropped out.
I have alot of the progress pics up to this point if anyone wants to see them. right now i'm adjusting the ride hight and doing all the lights and junk. almost done just little things i have to fix.
What do you think?:feedback:

thanks, When i get the wheels mounted and at the right height with the lights in i will take some pics in better sunlight. The outside pics seen here are about an hour before sundown and don't nearly show the true blue color.

Love the paint job! Meshy wheels are nice, although I prefer the TRD 5 spokes.

sure thing, I basically changed my mind many many times!:lol2:
The "custom mods" are few, I'm not very experienced at these things so what i tried did not turn out like i invisioned so i kept them simple.
I opened the fog light holes to my liking by filing, sanding, and fixing with putty. I shaved the door handles and am in process of lowering the car.
This was my first attempt at using micro mesh polishing cloths. These things are a must, I was nervous about using them. The key is to take your time, use a light touch and check your progress frequently.
The color changed several times, I thought i was going to go with the blue metalcast spray from duplicolor. Vric warned me about how bad it is about eating plastic so i tried on a spare body and he ain't playin. I primed a body with several coats of primer and 2 coats of radiant silver then after 1 coat of metalcast the body stated to melt almost all the way through in several places. It even eats through primer and other duplicolor sprays. Thanks for the info Vric!!!!!
This color is duplicolor Twilight blue over white primer and a few coats of Duplicolor radiant silver.
the interior is a german grey with light blue and aluminum accents. I have more pics of it if you want to see. and the rims i'm gonna use are from an ITR kit.

I too love these rims, but i wanted some chrome for this one and i think these rims fit this car. They are certainly better than all the other chrome rims i have.
that's about it.

damn the metal cast stuff melted your model man? i can get that stuff perfect and smooth. but i did notice that when it does mess up and you strip it it wrinkles the plastic so bad the model is junk. i hope you have fun with the rest of this project. and have a nice day at work man.

Exactly my thinking..i know i have no chance winning either.
your model is sick though, the way its sitting there is a little too low though. i think you should make the rims like a dull aluminum. the crome looks a little too bright.

It was just sitting on the wheels, there were actually just 2 wheels under the car. lol
I was just fitting several rims that i have and those looked the best IMO, plus all the others i liked were too wide and required alot of work to fit em.
thanks for all the comments, keep em comming

thanks for all the feedback guys. I'm gonna finish up this weekend hopefully. I decided to give it a nother wash, polish, and wax last night b/c the bars wern't jumpin around here, and there wasn't a damn thing to do:loser:.
Supermod: I'm definately not going to be adding any grey stripe to the body. This car's inspiration comes from a similar lexus i see everyday coming home from work. It resembles the car very closely except for the color is a little to dark and they don't make rims like she has. The major diffrence b/t my altezza and the lexus i'm talking about is the fine ass milf that's always behind the wheel. But hey, If i could pull something like that off i would have had something to do last night....:naughty:.
