'95 clutch problem

it's a '95 Escort LX, with 1.9 engine. Brand new clutch installed. Clutch hydralics runs off the master brake cylinder.
Now here is the problem: Press the clutch to the floor, and reverse out of the driveway, the clutch still pressed to the floor, I can't get it out of 5th gear. Then the engine jerks a bit and dies. So here is my thought, from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, and to the actual cylinder that is on top of the tranny (to shift in gear) I'm loosing pressure somewhere in the line.
There are no leaks FOR SURE, so could it be that the cylinder on the tranny (I have no idea what the techinal word is), is loosing pressure within itself (inside), and slowly releasing the pressure while the clutch is pressed to the floor.
Or are there any other ideas?? And does it make any sense? By the way, it happens while i hold down the clutch for a while, so start moving. In motion it's okay because I'm thinking that I shift in a second or so, so the pressure is okay.

Rebleed the system at the slave. Looks like you have air in the system.

If bleeding your system does not help, look back through the posts to about a month ago.... there was a post about people having trouble getting stuck in 5th and having to yank it out. Sounds to me more like a problem with the tranny itsself or the linkage... if there was air in your system it likely wouldn't be working at all.
