Primer Help!

How long should I wait until I can paint the main color over the primer?

um depends on the brand. i have duplicolor primer that drys in 20 mins or so. some testors takes an hour. best bet is to spray some on a old car and time it. or when the primer is dry you can tell becuase it will eb flat, when it is glossy it is still wet

my primer is Model Master

the best way to tell if the primer is dry is to see if you can still smell it, of course patience is key. Just be on the safe side and wait 24 hours.

Tamiya surface primer takes like 6 hours to dry and recoat. Well... thats what I do.

my duplicolor what i do is let it dry till it is not glossy, and then let it dry over night

Try another primer that stuff is junk and is not a real primer. Real primers are sandable and dry much faster than that stuff. Try Tamiya's or Duplicolor. You will notice the difference.

yea duplicolor is great it is automotive stuff, it wet sands nice, and is thin, even the high biuld stuff is thin.
