Hi, just curious if anyone knows if i will notice a big difference when i change from 2.73 stock gear in my 98 Trans Am to 3.73 gear. I am getting it installed tomorrow along with hypertech III power programming with a 160 thermo. These will be my first mods besides cat back exhaust.

Agreed.
Violator6090....you're going to see a nice difference. I would also suggest a 3400 stall(or higher if you want). A stall itself is worth .5 seconds in the 1/4 on an LS1 car.

Gears. Yes.
Torque Converter. Yes
Best gears for the A4 LT1 cars are 3.42s. LS1s are 3.73s Thats for streetcars that go to the tracks now and then.
