Cold Weather Woes

My mother's Delta 88 refuses to start in cold weather. It runs perfectly fine in warm weather and in damp weather, but when it's cold the ignition cranks but won't start. My husband is working on it for her, and has replaced the battery, spark plugs and wires, and two of the sensors. He wonders if the ECM could be bad, but hasn't worked on this model before and is having trouble locating the module. Can anyone tell me where it is, and if you've experienced similar problems, provide me with some suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!!

Ok the main PCM is under the passanger's side dash just pop off the kick board cover and it's right there with three large wireing bundles going to it and one screw holding it in place ... And there's also the module used for the Ignition it's under the coil pack and depending on what coil pack you have the problem might be as simple as a bad ground on the coil pack module and can be solved be removing it and sanding it clean and replacing it back on the car ..... And which of the two sensors did you replace ?? because there's at least two temp sensors I know of with out even going and looking ..... And the coolant temp sensor will cause all sorts of problems if it's not functioning right, So will the Air intake temp sensor, And the MAF sensor works on heating up a temp sensor and the more air moving the faster it cools ... So it might be a sensor not a whole ECM ....
And if it's not a newer model you can pick up ECM's from most salvage yards for like $10 to $15 area, and whole coil packs for the same ...
And is there any service engine light on ?? or any codes flashing ?? (( the coil pack with a bad ground won't flash any codes or cause the light to turn on ))

Creative:Thanks so much for the info! I'm not sure the names of the sensors he replaced, but will ask him. I know one was the black one you can see to the right of the head/intake, the other was to the right and below it. The service engine soon light is on, but I'm not sure if that's because the battery was recently unhooked. He doesn't have a diagnostic computer since he's not affiliated with a dealership, so don't know about the codes. Am going to print off your replies and give them to him, tho. THANK YOU!

Creative,
I'm sorry it's been so long since I was logged on. I missed your last message. We've been replacing things and replacing things on Mom's car since I first posted. Everything from the entire coil pack, the computer, all the sensors (that we could find), and even the injectors have been exchanged. Dad took it to a dealership to have it diagnosed, and they've given him the run-around 3 times. First they claimed spark plug wires 4 and 6 were crossed (yeah, right), then they said it was injector number 3. Now they claim it's an internal problem, and they'd have to tear it completely down. We said no way. It runs beautifully when the weather is warmer than 80 degrees, but when it's cold or damp the fuel system runs super-rich and fills the interior with fumes, and the exhaust could compete with a steam locomotive. It shakes terribly, too. We're all out of ideas! Can you, or anyone else, help?
