if you were given this choice what would you do:

to either live your life in memory of everything you've done or to actually go back and relive the memories you have, only to never remember them once you've relived them. say why you would choose whichever one you do.

I chose this one. I'd rather do this and be able to pass on what I experienced to others than to live the rest of my life not knowing what I've accomplished.

Agreed with DVS. Far as I'm concerned, vivid memories are as good as "the real thing."

How about that? Two of us agree with DVS. What is the world coming to? ;)

i disagree with everyone

ok heres the deal, when an event comes up again, youre not gonna do anything different. The same events and same circumstances will lead up to the same result, because you have the same previous knowledge and reasoning you did the first time around. so youre basically living out your memories over and over like the option everyones agreeing with, you just have no idea that you are................now the real kicker is........what says we arent doing it right now? :smoker2:

see, its the same question either way, it just boils down to if youre aware of it or not, i WOULDNT want to be aware of it, without the suprise, its gonna get boring

I think that for some memories it would be good to relive them but where would we be without our memories?

So I would have to say that I would rather have the memories

Well, i think his point is that you live out your memories, but once your life is over, you live them again, but you have no memory of the last time you lived them out, so you get a clean slate to try new things each time, but once you pass on, you wont remember it the next try you get. (but it doesnt matter anyway, youll do the same things you did the first time around)

and living your life in memory is just that, living your life in memory over and over and being conciously aware of it. Which IMO would be boring coz you always know whats gonna happen, as opposed to my choice, where once your done you get to do it all over again and be suprised and all of that mess...........

i dunno, im probably wrong

the first time i was asked this question, i said yes, i would like to relive everything i had done once i was older, inorder to experience it again first hand...i think i like the advantages of both. sure you can always think about what happen and remember those very small, yet very important details, but to live them again in their fullest would be amazing too.

Man I dont have time to write a whole thesis on the question so I'll just answer that I would prefer the memories. Besides many memories sweeten with age and if I went back to live them over again I might bve dissappointed.
