Eclipses weight around 3000 LBS, the Civic Ex weighs less than 2400 lbs.

Ok, so will the civic still be lighter after a b18c swap?

yes bc the chassi is lighter to start with. the only way u might weigh more than an eclipse uis if u mayb put in a H22 idk. y does it matter which is lither.

lighter is faster, better handling, and has better acceleration.. if that's what you're asking... i think i deciphered most of that post correctly:eek7:

H22 only weights about 60lbs more than I b series, which only weights about 85 more than a D. The only way to make a Civic heavier than a Eclipse is to put in a competion stereo system, and give Rosie O'Donnell a ride to Burger King.

IT's not always weight. Eclipeses have an engine that can go up to 450 HP before you need internal mods, the B-series won't be able to take that much power from the stock block. If you're tring to get the lightest possible car and you thikn you'll win just by bieng light, then get a 91 Ford Festiva, they weigh about 1700 LBS...they have only 60 HP but it's ok...your lighter than whoever you're racing so you'll win. What I'm trin to point out is, the Eclipse may be heavier, but it has one hel of an engine.
The fastest street legal Honda runs about high 10's, the fastest street legal eclipse I've seen does high 8's. Think about it.

i think that honda engine are best engineered engines. mainly bc they pull alot of power for their size and components

Hey integra818 what engine is that honda that runs 10's running on? Because im getting and integra type R swap.

There are many Hondas running 10's. Only a handful are doing high 10's or low 11's in street trim. But when it comes to 10 second Hondas, theres plenty of dragged out Hondas doing 10's, even 9's.

How are you going to get a twin turbo out of an engine with only one exhaust manifold?? Unless you do some serious fabricating. Even then, only 2 cylinders for each turbo is barely enough pressure to make the turbo spool up.

Actually besides that, you can run one to feed the other.

By the way, what does the famous hb civic that "cheesefrog" dude has, isnt he running high 9s or low 10s? Ive seen a video of him racing against a 10 sec viper and beating him. That civic is fu*ked up.

Cheezefrogs car was/is far from running 9's. When he raced the viper he was running some .5MM over 9:1 JE's, a T3/60-1 on an SFP manifold, STR intake manifold, can't remember which intercooler, hondata, and a 75 shot of juice. 430 WHP on 22 psi, without the juice. I havn't seen him around in a while, but his new setup consists of a T67 on a hytech manifold, with an AIR carbon fiber intake manifold....
