what does this Check Engine code really mean??

Hi, i have a 1997 Camaro Z28 M6.

The check engine light is on so i took it to AutoZone and got the puter scanned. It gave me the error code P1657, so i went online and searched up what that could mean and it said

"DTC P1657 1-4 Upshift Solenoid Control Circuit"

Can someone tell me what this means and what i do about it (very little money) also useful info would be that i had the "skip shift" removed about a year ago and i have O2 sims behind both cats.

the reason the code is there, to my best guess, is that you removed the skip shift, seeing as the 1-4 upshift is just that, so to me they would have to be related. but i can run the code tomorrow at work and find out specifics for ya.

I was wondering if anyone figured out exactly what this OBD-2 code ment-

Just wondering if IROC was around and new what that code ment yet. Hate to be pushy but i was gonna try and get the problem fixed this weekend so i could insure it and get it inspected and running for the Spring.
