I know 285's will fit without a problem at all. You might can squeeze 305's under there, but it'll be tight. I have also heard some rumors of 305's not working well with stock wheels, so might wanna check that also.

The same friend I talked to about my sidewall damage told me that 305's will require slight trimming even if the front is cranked up. The guy at goodyear also said the same;they had installed 305's for another guy and had to do some trimming. I think for the 305's you will need the 8 inch wheels instead of the factory 7. Some suggest 10 inch wheels but I been told anything wider than 8's will cause vibration problems on the front.

I'm running stock height on my 98 Z71 and I put on some Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos 285/75/16 and they are the best tires I have ever owned. I don't know if your trying to go bigger for sure, but this size does look pretty beefy. I had the BFGoodrich A/T before and they are nothing compared to the Bridgestone. I highly recommend you take a look, heres a link http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp?tireMake=Bridgestone&tireModel=Dueler+A%2FT+Revo&vehicleSearch=true&partnum=875R6ATREVOWL&fromCompare1=yes. Good luck.

Hey thanks for the replies I think I am going to go with the 285's any issues with the 75's on the stock rims or are you running after market rims?

should be ok with stockwheels. Here's a page I found while reading up.http://www.ntwonline.com/template.cfm?ID=7#fffff

75's will work just fine on stock wheels. I have 285/75's on my truck and have not had any hint of a problem (except for a decrease in gas mileage). I'm trying to find someone to trade my 285's to for some factory size tires.
