Need help with yet another code...

Now suddenly I am getting a fuel injector (16) code. Is there any way to pinpoint which injector it is? Is it most likely a bad injector or wiring? I did do a dpfi to mpfi swap, so i guess it could be wiring, but i haven't checked continuity for all of them...

Have you ever pulled off any of the injector plugs? IF you have, as soon as you do, you'll get a code 16 and it will stay there til you reset the ecu. If any of the plugs come loose ull get a code 16. Same thing would happen to me when I was missing some of the injector clips, when I would go over a big bump/pot hole, the plugs would come loose.

just check to make sure all plugs are tight, make sure ur getting 6 ohms of resistance from each red/black wire, and check for continuity from ur ecu to ur injector resistor box, from ur box to ur injectors, and from ur ecu to ur injectors

Also, pull each injector plug off one at a time. When you pull each one off, they should make ur engine lug/bog. So, if you pull one, and nothing changes, that's the plug/wiring that's causing you problems.

Well, I reset the ECU and it went away. I plan on cutting and soldering all my injector connections this weekend, since I just used crimp connectors when I did the mpfi wiring. It was so intermittent that I think it has to be a bad connection. The code hasn't reappeared for a day now, so I guess it's better for the meantime. I am just paranoid about running my motor too lean... that would really suck cuz then I'd have to build my bottom end, lighten my crank and flywheel, maybe get a new cam too!! :iceslolan
