DOHC Engine and Tranny

Hey, I've got a project I'm just kinda dreaming of right now, wanted to get a couple of opinions before I got my hopes too high. I was cruising around www.fordracingparts.com and stumbled into their crate Cobra engines. The 4V modular 4.6 for the 2000 Cobra would be a hell of a lot more potent than my 94 Bird's SOHC. Ford has the complete engine and transmission assembly for $6000, which is a completely acceptable price for me, because if I do it, I want to do it right, ya know? Anyway, I know a swap like that wouldn't be easy, but would it be possible? What other things would I have to modify for my Bird to accept a larger engine, a 5 speed transmission, and that much more power? Also, if anyone has or knows where to find engine diagrams for the 94 TBird 4.6 and the 00 Cobra 4.6 (bore, stroke, engine width, height, etc.), that would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Vinnie

I thought about the same swap but trying to use a Mark 8 for a donner.

I don't know much about it though.

Well, if I end up giving it a shot, I'll be sure to take a lot of notes and pictures and send em your way.

Do a search on www.tccoa.com. There are a few that have done it and could give you better info. Doesn't seem to be that big of a project. (compared to a 3.8 to 5.0 swap)

Remember, the Mark VIII and the 'Birds are on the same platform, that simplifies everything.

With a '94, you have "EEC-IV", which is a limitation when it comes to tuning.
