this was posted in the maxima forums. note: he's not racing the camera car. the max is in the middle lane, the s2k is on the far right.

i saw this in the other forum, and my first impression is wow, he can take an s2000 from a roll that easily , he has to have more mods than a cai, what are those things supposed to run stock

What the!!! That M3 got WORKED!!!
Are you guys sure that the Maxima only had a CAI??? HOLY BATMAN! Judging by the way it runs and assuming the s2k and m3 and decent drivers, the Maxima would be runnin high 13's(conservative guess)??? Is that possible?? WITH JUST INTAKE?

3.5 maxima's are said to run mid-high 14's stock. i can't say for sure but i don't think m3's break out of 14's stock. the m3 only makes 230-240 hp and weighs only 50 pounds less than a maxima. plus the m3 has the disadvantage of rwd drivetrain loss. i'd still rather have an m3, much more potential. it's just nice to see a FWD family sedan hangin with sports cars.

i'm not trying to say FWD is better than RWD, but considering both cars make almost the same hp, the bmw is going to put less of it to the ground because it has a driveshaft running the length of the chassis to the Rear wheels stealing power that the maxima doesn't have. think NA 300zx versus Maxima.
