Why are you surprised? The S2K only has like 153lbs torque, the Max has 246lbft torque, the S2k can be launched pretty fast if the tach is winded out to between 3-5 grand and then dump the clutch but they are nothing from a roll at those speeds that the Max crushed that one at.

Don't give too much credit to the S2K and not enough to the Max.

Yea the s2k doesn't have any torque, but it is a lot lighter then the Maxima. And the s2k only launches in the 6k range (unless ur talkin about the S2200s). But yea the main reason why I'm surprised is just b/c the s2k weighs so much less and has VTEC. But I guess I shouldn't be. And oh my sister owns an S2000, and mom owns a Max, so I know both cars pretty well. And I do like the Max more :) Because it's a nissan and I hate honduhs

What generation M3 is that? Cause I know the E46's make 330 hp or so.

i don't know what gen it falls under but it's a 97 3.2L inline 6 and it makes 240 hp and 236 lbs of tq and weighs 3150 lbs.

That is SmokinOdum's Max from the .org, he put the smackdown on a couple of other vids he got too, it's about 4 of them where he smokes the M3 from a standing start and then all of them from a roll of about 40 or so.

can you verify that his only performance mod is a CAI? i posted this vid on another forum and a few people are questioning his mods.

It is 100% true, his only mod is the CAI. They can go to Maxima.org and check it out for themselves.

They just can't believe that a Max can put the smackdown like that on the S2K and the old M3.

Seeing is believing, almost stock baaaby VQ3.5, unless you got a hulking V8 or an SC'd/Turbo then pound for pound you'll get beatdown to the ground.
