Power has just been restored to my house after it was cut off after a freak electrical storm bought heavy rain and thus caused knee deep floods this evening, looks like the only damage done is to my car Foot wells are flooded and the car is going to need to be towed off the front lawn because my tyres have sunk into the front lawn, I wouldn't have expected that kind of weather in Napier.
Guess that the Peugeot dealers gonna have to fix more than a dent on Monday morning

I saw it on the news tonight..Wellington got hit pretty hard too.
I was working last night and it was a great sight with all the lightening etc around the place.
Never knew you guys got it so bad though. They talked to a reporter at Clive and he said it was pretty bad with flooding

I'm glad that the flood waters didnt get any higher and get into the interior. Dont want anything to rot out inside the car.

Here in Houston, in June tropical storm Allison, a whole bunch of cars and homes got TD'ed (Totally Destroyed) by the floodwaters. Some of the highways that are below the side streets looked like rivers. My car almost got flooded, it was just below the bottom of the doorsill.

Well flood waters are down this morning and we havw sunight allowing me to give a full damage assesment, house is allright, thanks to it being pretty high up, yard-a total mess, and 6O7 and Courier interior of 6O7 is pretty muddy Courier is OK, I will have the electrcal system checked out on Monday, on a positive note my classics are allright, since they are in Storage in Taurunga.

Make sure you get some kind of waterproofing for the storage, that would seriously suck if those got ruined. Remember, new cars are easier to fix than old cars (possible not cheaper but easier)
Oh and make sure you dry out the cars as much as possible, our neighbor's car got water in it and it smells like a nasty combination of ass, socks, mud, crap, sewage, and dogs
dont ask

Well I don't have to worry about my car stinking the dealership will take care of that on Monday when my car goes for repairs, I have garaged the 6O7 till then, and will have to use my truck till then, although it's not all bad, swince my 6O7 will be at the dealership for a week and during that time I have a Peugeot 2O6CC loan car which means I can enjoy a manual car AND a convertable:D
