Vent lo-hi does not blow

when I use my vent it does not blow. Although I feel warmth coming through when I use it in 'hot' for cold mornings, when I change it to high... I can not tell a difference. Is this a minor repair?

I had a similar problem. I had changed the blower switch with no success. Ended up that I had to change the selector switch to control the Def, Htr, Vent, A/C, ect.

first of all, to trouble shoot, take a wire and run it directly to the positive on the blower motor. if the blower motor is good, it'll blow full power. That rules out a dead motor.

It should be a minor repair, sounds exactly like my problem, I also had a small amount of heat, but that was just the heat in the duct going upward.

Now for a temporary redneck fix, until you have the time to fix the problem correctly, and allowing you to have heat. you can bypass the interior switches all together. Again, this is TEMPORARY. Take a wire connected to POS terminal, run it along the fender out the hood, and into the truck, connect it to a standard light switch, then run another wire from the light switch to the POS connection on your fan motor. Yes this is VERY redneck, but it will give you heat until you can fix the switched correctly. Just make sure you don't leave the blower on all the time, it'll kill your battery.
The only reason I did this was because it was 12 degrees, snowing, when my switch broke. So the temporary fix was gold to me. Warmth is taken forgranted.

You should check the ground for the blower motor. I had a similar problem and just had to clean the ground and worked better than it ever has.
