anybody see any good deals on ebay for wrx parts? i've seen some manufactured (non-brand name) crossdrilled-slotted rotors, coil over springs, headers, downpipes, and up-pipes. has anybody seen/heard about these as well? any of these good deals? which ones (if any)? i don't mean just random items, but parts that are on there on a regular basis.
thanks

Ive ordered parts off of ebay, all of them were well known company parts but they were a lot cheaper than most speed shops or sites. Never had one go bad yet.

yeah i've found that. i'm not really talking about the brand name stuff though. i wanna know if some of the "generic" stuff on ebay performs well at all. and if it might be a good idea to get something like that at a fraction of what most name brand parts cost. for example here are some links for a couple items that i am talking about.

Depends what parts. ebay can work both ways...people say that you get what you pay for, I would agree to an extent. Cold air intakes/exhaust are places that I think you can go cheaper. I have custom exhaust built, and I got a cold air intake off ebay and it works just fine. On the other hand, I know people who have gotten cross drilled rotors off ebay and they warped WAY too quickly. Others got downpipes/headers and had fitment issues. So it really depends. Some people only want name brand items on their cars...and I don't blame them. On most parts you really do get what you paid for. I personally don't always have the money, so I try and go economical when I can, but also research enough to decide whether it's a good idea or not.
You're better off posting a link to a specific auction you are interested in (like you did), and getting peoples' opinions of that specific auction.
Personally, dp and rotors are parts I would get a brand I trust. Also, never believe hp numbers that they post. Swapping a dp and exhaust wont net you 30hp on a stock car. Happy Moding

If I can get 90% of the performance at 50% of the price I'm happy.

On ebay they have the AEM big break kit on there, ive seen it on 2 wrx's and they look nice, wont work unless you have 17" rims but the price was $350 for rear and the same price for the front. Comes with steel lines, slotted rotors etc. Seen them for a lot more.
