I have a Honda Civic 2000Ex. Went to roll down the window and it made a funny sound, went to roll it back up next thing ya know it wont roll up past a certain point. I have all but one screw off right now, until I get the stripped screw out that is. Other than that I'm stuck after the panel is off. What do I do? Please help. LOL Single mother of 2, no males around to help....Pretty car smarts but I don't want to mess anything up.
Thanks

It always happens on the civics, it happened to me too. The plastics of the tracks get too soft because of heat or other factors and it does not guide the window well. I suggest you manually pull it up with, with someone pushing the button. Honda will fix it for around 100 bucks, its pretty expensive. So i just left it all the way up and i never opened it.

I dont remember off hand but I think on the inside track (the one closest to the engine bay) there is something you can adjust to hold the window. Its been a while since I have seen the inside of any door panel let alone a honda's. Wish I could help more. There may be these little plastic clip things that are clip through a hole in each end of the window. Sometimes those clips get worn and you have to replace them. They should be like 4-5 bucks apiece. If all else fails you may need to find a chiltons manual or something.

Thank you for all responses. I managed to get it all back to where it should be. I took the panel off and there was a screw on the bottom right of the door near the engine that unscrewd to allow me to put back around the window. I ended up spraying petrolium spray on the gears, they were sticking. Everything is great now...LOL Thank you all :)
