stall...wont turn ova

i started my 2000 eclipse this morning and was letting it warm up. it ran for like a minute maybe 2 and then it just stalled instantly no hesttation or anything just a stall.......i go to start it back up and it makes the noise any car does b4 it starts and just keeps making that noise......it just doesnt start....anybody know what it could be.....fuel filter or pump maybe???? any help is appreciated thanx guys

Most likely you have a dead fuel pump. Check to see if you have any fuel pressure. Most cars nowdays have a place where you can do this. It will look similar to the top of a tire valve stem only about 3x the size. make sure it is connected to the fuel rail and not the AC. If you don't have one disconnect a fuel and see if you are getting any fuel. also listen for a humm cumming from your gas tank. If you don't get any fuel or it has only weak pressure your fuel pump is bad.
