Well im talkin about the engine code...I know its a DOHC but it can be a DOHC VTEC and DOHC non-VTEC. So now that I am awake ill put it into understandable terms.

If I own a 98 Integra DOHC VTEC whats my engine code?

If i own a 98 Integra DOCH non-VTEC whats the engine code? (I think this is a b16A, correct me if im wrong)

B18C1 for vtec
B18B1 for non-vtec

all tegs have their engine codes starting with b18 from 91 and above (maybe earlier...). The B16 was in civic Si 99-00. Its a DOHC VTEC as well, but with 1.6 liters as opposed to 1.8 (hence b16 and b18)

Yea, that explains the B17A1's in the 92-93 GSR's

I forgot about that motor. It still follows rules b17=1.7 liters. OK now get off my ass.

isn't the code stamped onto the engine block ( at the front, below the distrubutor)

yeah, all honda codes are stamped on the blocks.

but it'd take us more time to explain to him how to find it, then to tell him straight up what the code is.

find the intake pipe, about midway down the pipe, look straight down towards the tranny and just off to your right, where the block/head/tranny meet, find a 2x2 box in their it will say a letter followed by two numbers, hence D15.

As long as you have the stock tranny, it should be stamped there also.
