I posted this in one of the other 89 posts you put up today (LOL) . This one appears to be the active one, and I am curious so here goes:
I really like the painterly effect your method achieves.
Since your going the chalk route in most instances I'm curious to know if you have experimented with frisket at any point.
It's my understanding that the frisket will allow you to mask off areas in your tires and stuff like that and allow you to get great detail and still maintain the flow that you get from your medium.
Also do you use any ellipse sets on your wheels? Even in the pencil base stage.
I have also seen similar work and the artist used prisma sticks or something like that sharpened to a point.
It might serve many of us very well if you were to scan one of your drawings in stages, and spoon feed us so to speak.
Nice work.

Thanks. The blue one was not made with pastel but with CRAYOLA ink! This is only for the base color of the car.I add white/black chalk for shades and light.

Lemoris,
How do yo know how many I post(89)?! I am not an english speaking person,so sorry, I don't know what is a frisket! Tell me please.Maybe it's to mask? I never never use any Instruments except somes times a ruler to trace one or to lines who would be difficult to draw without.I prefer develop my drawing insted of using instruments for ellipses.Yes,I will try what you say: post some drawings stage by stage so you can see the evolution.

What is this car: "s14"?
Its a Nissan. Nissan S14 Silvia, '96-'98. The Nissan S14 Silvia was made only in Japan. However, the imported version for the most of the world was called the Nissan 240SX (1996-1998).
Its a much better car than those supercars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, BMW, Porsche. If you have the Nissan S14 with the SR20DETT (instead of the American Nissan 240SX with a KA24DE), gets some new XS Engineering twin turbos and more, you can crank out 700+HP.
Most of us on the forums draw modified tuners, a few superacars here and there though.

Those drawings are nice. This is more a thecnical drawing than an artistic or a "photographic" one. First, the name is well chosen(just see the name of the car MR6TT and we know it's a sport car). Blue is ok for a concept: it's the type of drawing like in Industrial design. I like the headlights and the exhaust. The thing that disturb me is that the shapes are too like squares: It's better with round shapes. An other thing is that we don't realy feel the volumes. When you look at a drawing, you should know this or this part is under this one and this shape ends here etc. I have this problem too: for instance, we don't realy feel where my wheels ends or if the tires are flat or round. Look for example at my Porshe 911 in the first page: where the wheel ends and where the mud gard starts? We don't know: I'ts not clear. But your drawing is clear so you can ameliorate that. There is others details, but in general your MR6TT is good.
keep on the good work.

I know the Nissan Skyline is good too, and is sold only in Asia I think. It's not that I don't like those modified cars, but I prefer much better the supercars like the TVR cerbera and Speed 12, the nissan R390 GT(like LeMans 24h), Mc-Laren F1 GTR,or the Toyota GT-ONE(ouch!!!) You should see this GT-ONE!! In fact,I like GT cars (for the race) or the ones who are very very expensive either a sport car or a luxury car (I love the Bentleys and Rolls-Royces,Maybach:I all drawn them). Well, all this should sound ordinary because lot of people like those cars but anyway I like them anyway.

This is a drawing I made two or three months ago. For me, it's not as good as what I can draw now. You can see for example that the rear wheel is not in the right perspective and that in general, there is someting missing. I like to do reflexions on the floor but I do that less now because it's long and it don't always gives a nice effect.

I made this one a little bit after the Modena. I like it but here again, I found few problems.I think there is too much lines, because it should be only shades who compose the car: the lines should only be there at the first stage(when you just sketch the car).

I just put the posts I have in the other thread here.
When people talk about my drawings I post, the I dea came that it would be nice to make a drawing and post the evolution stage by stage.
So I will try that because it's a good Idea. It usualy takes me 30-40 min. to finish completly a drawing I will show you. But I don't have a scanner at home so it could take some time between each stage (don't think I'm so slow to draw!). So here it is and sorry for the poor quality of the images.
STAGE 1
You just draw the main lines(no details). I always, always start by the two red lines:it's the base, where the car will stand. I demarcate the limits on the top, the sides and on floor so I already know what it will look like . I simplify at the maximum: for example, I only draw one line between the two "X". Stage two will come soon. If you have any comments, don't hesitate.

STAGE 2
When I have finished drawing the main lines, I can add more details(not too much because we won't see much when we add the color). I just have to complete the sketch. At this point, you can say you have made the most dificult part. After, I just have to add color and coal and white chalk. When I bought the black chalk, it was written "coal". I know it's not charcoal because it's not a burned tree branch. I think it's mostly real coal that have been reduced in powder and been mix together to give sticks. It's very not expensive and you can find that in any artist shop. I'm just telling you that this gives the best effects for shades. No other chalk can be better. You get the REAL BLACK, not any dark, dark grey, no! This is very black, but when I'm saying black, I mean BLACK!
I only take a sheet of toilet paper and all I have to to for great shades, is to rub on the black. I can shade off the black in few seconds and it gives a natural effect. All you have to do to make lighter parts is to erase. Maybe you have other methods you prefer to make shades or any part of the drawing, but me I prefer a lot more the technique I explained.
Well, I would like to know your methods. I'm talking about the coal, but this comes further. Now my base structure is made: all the rest will be built on it.

STAGE 3
http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/500/167794Stage3.jpg
(if you want to know what this method gives at the end, see my first drawing: the Pininfarina Mythos:it was made with the same method)
I just want to advise you before that I am a french speaking person so...
I added color.I prefer red because I realised gives more punch and it's easier to use than other colors. The color of my drawing is not necessarly the same as the photo, like you can see. My basic method is to put color everywhere and after add more or less black(for shades). If I don't press strong on the coal, we can see the color through: it gives a dark red in this case. My drawings are never exactly like the photo: I modify it as I want. For example, the rear end of my Mercedes is shorter than the photo. When you change things from the photo, it's not always bad:sometimes it's better. I don't like to copy exactly what I see. You can see also that the color don't ends at the lines or it's not precise: it dosen't matter because I will add details after. Anyway, that's also my style to not be precise.I put color everywhere on the body, even at the places I will add black.
For the color,I use ink from Crayola markers: the ones for children.I take off the cartridge and I use it as a paint brush. The cartridge is a sponge soak into washable and non-toxic ink. All I have to do is soak the cartridge into water and the ink becomes active. Because there is lot of water, the paper becomes rinkle but this dosen't matter for me.I tried with water paint but it dosen't gives someting as nice as the ink.
The stage 4 is the addition of coal and basic shades. It will comes soon.

(if you want to know what this method gives at the end, see my first drawing: the Pininfarina Mythos:it was made with the same method)
I just want to advise you before that I am a french speaking person so...
I added color.I prefer red because I realised gives more punch and it's easier to use than other colors. The color of my drawing is not necessarly the same as the photo, like you can see. sweet cars, i like the reflection on the floor. keep it up.
The reflexion on floor is a little long to do because I have to draw the car twice, but the reflexion is not as long to do as the car because it's not precise.
Do you make car drawings too?

Please, if you need to say something else, or add more drawings, just edit a previous post. Don't make a new one. That just clutters everything up.
-Thanks

Everyone who look at this thread should be free to post drawings of their own. I would like to see yours.

Corght, you have two threads going, with the same content in each. I'll keep this one open, because it has more replies, but Im going to close the other one.
If you have a question about it, PM me.
Oh ya, BTW, nice looking drawings. Looks like you need to work on accuracy of the car, though. You have the technique spot on, but the accuracy is a bit off, especially on the Bentley. The Pagani is  though.

I made thid one with yellow india ink and coal+white chalk. I made a reflexion on the floor, but I don't like it...
This car is not made in industries: it's the only one in the world, it was made with a recent Porsche 911 and cost about 250 000 $ CAN to built completely with Carbon Fiber and Aluminum + Momo chrome wheels. I don't know how much it cost... Well, I just draw it because I liked the rear end . However, I hate the front because it's too big+they took Porsche Headlights and they just don't match. I don't remember the brand, but I know the car is called "TRIPOSTO" because it have 3 seats, like the McLaren F1 GTR.
I know the sheet is dirty, but anyway...
