Cd Playa?

Well i wanted to put a cd player in my 88 chevy but.... someone has re wried it into a face plate that has a radio & controls for the car into One thing, and i was wondering if anybody out there could help me save a 100$$$$. Tha's what it would take to have someone profesinally do it for me.:banghead: (This is me)hehehe So plz plz plz plz :1zhelp: me,

Could you be more specific? I put a cd player in a 87 chevy, so i thought maybe i'd be able to help you out.

Well i think this is how u do it?.... Ne Way umm more specific well see umm i'm a compleat moron when it comes to cars so ill try to get u a visual,...it's a flat one cover with no sleeve or place for inceration of another sytem and im afaid im going to mount it somwhere, but how and wiring? ha i don't even know what color goes to what! if that dosent help e mail me and ill try to tell u that way...........Lisa

i think you're better off buying from best buy or somewhere that includes free installation. even if it costs you a few bucks, atleast you know it's done right. besides, it's easier! :D

Go get yourself a mounting kit specific for your vehicle ($20 around here) and while you're at it, pick-up a radio wiring harness specific for your vehicle ($12 around here) The harness allows you to simply match the wires color to color. Be sure to seal the connections properly so as not to create grounding. Use heat shrink tubing or solder and electrical tape etc...
The mounting kit and harness allows for a very clean looking appearance. It also saves the car's wiring from being cut up, so you can put the original stereo back in if you sell the car. Best thing to do imo...
