Hi, if I leave the thermosthat out will it cause any problems with the computer or bring on any other problems? My jeep has ran warm and sometimes hot since I bought it about 2 mos ago. It had a new thermosthat in it but this weekend it ran real hot and would not take any water so I knew it was stuck. I pulled it out and it only opens about 1/8" or so and sticks. I know the enginewill take a little longer to warm up but was wondering if I leave it out instead of replacing it if i will be ok as far as the ecm is concerned?

Many Thanks,
JR

HI JR YOU SHOULD REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT ACTUALLY IT HELPS THE COMPUTER SEND THE RIGHT SIGNALS TO THE SENSORS. the computer needs the heat to make engine running adjustments DALE EMAIL [email protected]

HI JR, THE COMPUTER NEEDS THE HEAT THAT THE THERMOSTAT CREATES TO RUN THE SENSORS CONTROLING IT. IF YOU NEED INFORMATION I'LL GLADLY SEND YOU INFORMATIOM ON THE COOLING SYSTEM. ALSO I'LL SEND A SHEET ON HOW TO CONVERT OVER TO THE NEWER OPEN COOLING SYSTEM. EMAIL ME AT [email protected]
