Defeated....

yeah well i was messing around with my SL against my friend who was driving his brother's 2000 mustang GT (300 hp) and well ya... i passed him, i felt all happy. And then.... It happened...*sees mustang passing my poor SL leaving me in the dirt* What a horrible feeling... i need to make my car faster... Oh well, i just needed to express my sadness... *goes race eclipses and civics*

that sucks man but oh well fix up your car and kick some mustang ass. hey i would rather have a 3000gt than a crappy mustang. love the looks on the 3000gt. 3kgts kick ass. mustangs suck everybody's got one. I see like 30 in a day and like 2 or 3 3000gts a week. Be proud of your awesome ride.

a 3/S is soo much better, and there is one thing i have learned about stangs, never worry about the ones that are all motor, they are never that quick, now the blown stangs you'll have to be careful with, but i haven't been in, raced, or seen a stang N/A able to take out a BPU TT.

Lol don't worry about it man. Our cars are still nicer and get more looks than the damn rustangs. And 300 horse in our cars would tool the shit out of mustangs. So be proud :)

Ive seen a couple mustangs that can kick a take a bpu TT. They both distroyed me. But one was on the bottle, and the other was super charged. Damn 03 cobras.

Well an SL will always lose to a Stang. Unfortunatly trus. But the VR4's have a VERY good chance of beatin them.

of course not v6 mustangs only wish they could beat an SL . I dont like those trendy cars. long live 3000gt!!

The mid 90's V8's can't beat an SL... neither can the old 5.0's.... Stock anyways....

SL can take on any version of mustangs GT under the year of 99. Put on some mods (intake, catback, pulley...), and you might be able to beat new 99+ Mustangs GT.

3000gt takes off faster than Mustangs. Use that as your advantages.

my friend's 98 mustang GT can take me tho... though maybe im still not good at driving... (2 months driving manual) But thanks anyways ^_^

yeah right :loser: you mean vr4's can. and even still it depends on what stang. be more specific when you say stang, cause they range from v6 slowpokes to 03 cobra's that run 12.7 in the 1320.

To GTO: ... maybe It's just my lucks ...but ever since I got my NA 3kgt till now, I have never lost to any 98 or under mustangs GT. Good reaction timing... and know your shifting point really count on this one...

To Youngvr4: I am not talking about the Cobra!... just the V8 GT. I have test drive a 99 and 01 mustang GT. YEP..they are fast on second and third gears, but 3kgt are faster on First and second gears.... !!!.. THis is just my opinion. Any cars have a difference of 15 hps or less, will be up to the driver. I've seen an eclipse 140 hps beats a Prelude 95 v-tec 190 hps....just becuause he was a lousy driver.

but at the same time lockylock there are cars in hp range of other cars and there is no comparison. for instance a nsx has 270hp and a wrx has 271hp but the wrx is not within reach of the nsx. there is more to speed then hp, there's tq, weight, traction etc.....

I see your point,Youngvr4!! ... ..hp, tq, weight, traction really make a big difference, And I have to admit that ..i was beaten by a Prelude Type HS. (lest hp than 3kgt)!!..(better luck next time)

if 2 drivers have alomst the same driving ability..then it's up to the car's potential....!!.. I lost, but I still want a re-match with that Prelude though. AS for Mustangs, I wouldn't dare go near a Cobra, but I refuse to let a V8 GT take over.

No, I'm not.

Besides being midengined and RWD, it doesn't have much else going for it. There are two types, a 252hp V6 and the 290hp V6 engines. I was comparing it between the EVO and STi, and by those standards it is not that much faster if at all.

Enough getting off topic though.
