Throttle body spacer 2.7

Anyone ever put a throttle body spacer on a 2.7? Just curious as to the actual performance and any problems associated with it i.e. emmissions or too much air (burning rings out) etc. Also any problems in conjunction with larger diameter header and exhaust? An additional question is whether those performance chips sold on ebay are worth their weight? I am under the impression that there is a lot more detailed work/tech needed for tacos. Thanks.

I just bought a 95' tacoma and it has a header on it, it seems to run very well, i just smogged it today for the transfer and the numers came out fine. It als has three inch exhaust all the way back, this seems to have no negative effect but probably is not necessary. I have heard that chips are the wrong way to go and that the engine computer can actually get used to the chip rendering it useless after a short time. I am also trying to find a place or way to get a throttle body spacer for my 95' 2.7L, so if you would let me know of the maker and part number it would be very halpful. Thanks and good luck!
