To swap the motor you will also need to swap the computer, wiring and instrument cluster.

It would probably be easier to just replace the motor in the SI and leave the other car the way it is (unless you absolutely hate sunroofs).

to put an si moror in a dx you will have to switch from carb to fuel injection so you will need the si fuel pump. if you have a complete si car you will basically swap everything that has to do with the fuel system and so on. i can be done and the fact that you have a complete 87si will make it easier
i am inclined to agree with lxndr tho, unless the 87 is a complete rust bucket i would think about working with that one.

well the problem is that the si has no title cuz it was junked due to the blown motor so its a parts car. but as far as i know everything "mechanical is in the car minus the interior. i had a look under it and theres a lot of miner holes in the under body but not bad. would it be easyier to do the integra swap then to do the si swap.

At this piont I think swapping in either the Teg D16 or the SI D15 will require about the same ammount of work.

If I were in your situation I would rebuild the SI motor and swap everything into the DX (including SI body panels). This way the only parts that you have to buy are the motor rebuild parts. I think this would be the most cost effective way to get fuel injection into your car (+ you get a freshly rebuilt engine!).

However, if you do decide to go with the D16A1 you should consider selling the SI as a parts car and pick up an '86 or '87 Integra parts car instead. This way you will have all of the parts that you need for the swap.

Another option would be to sell the SI and invest that money into a cylinder head port and polish (use SI head), valve grind, cam, Weber carbs, intake (port matched), exhaust header and a low back pressure system for your dx. With this combo you should be able to blow the doors off of an SI!!

or... you could swap the SI head onto your DX block, i believe the American version of the DX came with a CVCC head (good for emissions, bad for perfrormance). with the SI head your engine would essentially be a SI motor but you woud still have to upgrade the fuel system to FI (the DX has the EW1 motor, the SI is the EW3 mortor, you want the EW3 head) and if you dindt want to do the extra work of converting to FI you could use your stock carb and manifold but it requiers some modification (read this thread, same thing i'm talking about click here (http://www.redpepperracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7311&hl=cvcc) ) or do what lxndr said with the Webers, that would work with this switch. what this basically saves you is having to pull the entire engine out.
