This is my situation!
I have a basic 96 2.2L engine Cavalier
Now i want something that would be faster, i have a couple of thousand dollars to spend, and im not to savy when it comes to cars.
I do know 1 thing, i want a faster car. I would like something in the 200 - 300 HP range, something that would pick up faster.
I've seen some custom cavaliers and they look really nice.
I have no problem fixing my car, I really like the body of my cavalier, again the problem is the power of my engine
I wanted to know from you poeple, (Im assuming that you know more than me) IF I shoud A: sell this car for whatever i can get and a diffrent car, which i would also have to fix up,
or B: fix up this car.
What could i get/have to do/and the cost to get this engine to the high 200 - 300 range.
consider that i am willing to do a lot to it, swap engines, buy superchargers/turbos, consider that although i dont have an infinte amount of money, i do have some to start off, and a job, so i can save and keep fixing it up
Thank you all for all your time,
let me say sorry if i sound mean, snobbie or rude in anyway

you should start with engine internals and work your way up to a turbo. Thats going to be the easiest way to get around 200 hp
