Am I getting a raw deal?

I bought 1998 Blazer on 2/28. I took it back to dealership on 3/6 due to heater not working. They filled up the rad reservoir (it was empty) and it started working. The following week it quit working. On 3/20, I started hearing a clicking noise, I pulled off the interstate where it died on the offramp before I could even get to the stop sign. What we originally thought to be a water pump issue has now turned into a burned up engine. Is this the fault of the dealership? Do I have any recourse?

It probably had the 5 year antifreeze in it and had never been flushed, this sludge causes the radiator to plug up and the engine not to cool properly, heads warp/crack causing antifreeze and water to merge with the oil in the pan, then if it continues to run like this, your looking at seized up engine. If you did not get at least a 90 day warranty from the dealership, you are just out of luck. Did you check the oil after the addition of antifreeze to the resevoir? It probably looked like chocolate milk and the viscosity probably did not keep up with the demand of your driving down the road so it eventually gave in.
