Rusted crossmember on 90 4runner

Changed the oil on my 4runner yesterday. Upon removing the skid plate I noticed that one of the front 2 bolts on the plate pulled right out of the crossmember. (The two tow hooks are attached to this member also) I was able to push my finger through several spots on this member so it looks like I'll have to do something about this rust problem. I've heard that someone makes a steel piece that fits precisely over this member that can be welded. Does anyone out there have any idea where I might be able to find and purchase this reinforcement piece????? thks.

Thanks Brian. I read through the text at the web site that you listed and also looked through some of the referenced links within that site. Most of the info involves "off road" type of modifications but there is some valuable info regarding stress points etc. I guess I am looking for something "off the shelf" specifically designed for this problem, much like there are sites targeting Jeep rplacement body and other parts ravaged by rust.
** Anyone else out there experience this problem and knows of where a reinforcement part can be had? **
