With the KLZE do I need to get the Trans with it... Because I would like to keep the stock Trans... mainly because I love the short gear ratios.

Yes, you can keep the tranny however first gear becomes nearly useless as it is almost impossible to "lock-up" the tires in first gear. The car has enough torque to take off in second no prob.

not familiar with that term...

what he means is that you won't be able to 'grip' on the first gear..the only thing you'll do is burn rubbers :iceslolan

i know, but i mean, how would the mx-6 tranny differ in first gear then if they're the same?

or am i missing something

like you said..It won't make a difference if you have a mx6 or a mx3 tranny on a 1/4 mile since you won't use 5th gear

even on the 130hp stock mx-3 you burn through 1st pretty quick. so what's the best thing you can do to fight it w/the 200hp ze?

good tires and not high rev starts....drop the clutch at around 3k

really with the Stock 130hp V6 I light the tires up when I dump the clutch at 3K, and burnout through 1st and 2nd... ofcourse this might be because of my Crapy Contental tires (no traction in the rain...)

poor clutch

before this new engine. i'd feather(quickly) from 2800-3000rpm. if i dump it i'd get a lot of sqeeling...anything higher then 3500 and the front end was hoppin all over the place.
