85 Cherokee High beam & blinker indicators

My 85 Cherokee High beam and turn signal indicators do not work on the insturment cluster. The rest of the clusters lights work, but not those 3.

I have done the following:
1) Checked the fuse panel for burnt fuses. I have also replaced the blinker modules.
2) Examined the wiring to the actual headlights & turn signal indicators for faults and have found none.
3) Replaced the insturment cluster (and checked the lights)
4) I started to disassemble the steering column, but the shop manuals I was using didn't have very detailed schematics and all I managed to do was clean the interior of the column up a bit.

Also, I can't seem to get the dome lights to work although the map lights function properly. I dont know if thats related or not.

My last idea is to just replace the steering column, but seeing as I would have to get another one to replace it with, I'm looking for another solution first.

Thanks.

I guess the turn signals and high beams do work, and its just the dash light bulbs that are not working, yes??
If so, I suspect there is a fault in the ground circuit in the instrument cluster itself.
My wiring diagram shows that the positive side of those bulbs are simply wired into the power wires for the light bulbs at the front of the vehicle with seperate wires. (They will be coloured. My manual shows a grey and white wire or a brown wire) However, they all share the same common ground wire. Use a test light and just make sure the positive wire going to the bulb has power. If so, just run a new ground wire to the bulbs. The existing ground wire should be a 20 gauge black wire.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that the actual lights do work properly.

Thanks for your suggestion, I will give it a try.
